Do you have complex or major dental needs?

Dr. Raisch treats patients of all ages, and this includes many dental conditions that are more common or prevalent in adults. Some of these are listed below. If you are experiencing symptoms or discomfort or believe you are suffering from one or more of these problems, contact our office today at 614-267-5413 to schedule an appointment with Dr. Raisch.

Tooth Discoloration: Plaque is a thin filmy layer of bacteria that forms on teeth, and contributes to stains at any age. As you get older it builds up more quickly and may be more difficult to remove. As well, the layers of tissue directly beneath tooth enamel go through changes that affect the brightness and luster of tooth enamel.

Dry Mouth: You may be experiencing a reduced flow of saliva in your mouth, which can result in a burning sensation, hoarseness, sore throat or just a general feeling of discomfort. A lack of saliva can damage teeth, because an important role of saliva is to help wash bacteria away from your teeth and gums.

Cavities: As you become older, you may find that your gum line is receding or thinning and you are more susceptible to cavities. It is important to take care of cavities as soon as possible, to keep your teeth healthy.

Fillings: Fillings that have been in place for years may weaken or even crack, exposing your teeth to bacteria and causing more decay.

Gum Disease: When gums become infected or diseased, they eventually weaken your jawbone, cause bone loss and weaken your teeth. Gums recede and no longer form a protective seal against oral bacteria. Without the protective seal, the bacteria can get into your bloodstream, reducing your overall health.

Poor Dental Health: If you haven't maintained the health of your teeth and gums, you may be finding that you are having dental problems that make it difficult to chew and enjoy good food or cause speech difficulties. You may be experiencing tooth or bone loss that changes the shape of your face, making you look older than you really are. Soreness, painful episodes with teeth and gums and gum disease can make you feel tired and ill.

Dr. Raisch can help you sort out what you need to do to maintain and improve your appearance and dental health, and his skills and experience can make a remarkable difference. He specializes in advanced dental technology and procedures that can make returning your oral heath and smile to a more youthful state as comfortably and quickly as possible.
